The Atelier
The Sacred Art of Making
We do not manufacture. We meticulously curate — preserving a living tradition, one sacred thread at a time.

Hand-stitched Zari Work

Kundan Inlay

Fine Silk Grounding
Behind every Poshak is a lineage of hands — master weavers, zardozi artisans, and kundan craftsmen who have spent lifetimes in devotion to their art. We meticulously seek them out, work alongside them, and bring their most sacred creations to your doorstep — so that when you dress Laddu Gopal, you are offering not just silk and gold, but the prayers of every artisan whose hands brought it to life.

Step 01
Concept
A verse is chosen. The atelier sits with it for days. Only when the verse has been lived with does the first sketch begin.

Step 02
Material Selection
Silks are sourced from a single weaving family in Varanasi. Threads, beads, and zari are chosen for both quality and karma — never from machine production.

Step 03
Hand Dyeing
Every colour is dyed in small copper vessels, by hand. We accept the small inconsistencies of natural dye as part of the offering.

Step 04
Embroidery
Zardozi, aari, and kundan work is done seated, by senior artisans, often over several weeks per creation.

Step 05
Finishing
Hems and linings are stitched entirely by hand. The Poshak is steamed gently and inspected three times before release.
Step 06
Sacred Packaging
Each creation is wrapped in muslin, perfumed with saffron, and tied with a single gold thread before its journey begins.
